The Executive Board of the Providence Engineering Society (P.E.S.) is once again pleased to announce the availability of at least one College Scholarship Award in the amount of $2,000 for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
Eligible scholarship award candidates must be (1) a member or descendant of a living member of the P.E.S., or a member or descendant of a living member of an affiliate organization of the P.E.S.; and (2) a student enrolled in an accredited Engineering or approved Technical and/or Engineering-related program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. All student applicants must have completed at least one year of college, or two full academic semesters at the time of application.
If you know of any individual who may be qualified for the scholarship award for the 2024-2025 academic year, please contact Robert Anderson (robert5019@cox.net) to request a P.E.S. Scholarship Application Form. A complete academic transcript shall be obtained and submitted by the student applicant as part of the application process. The transcript shall reflect the applicant’s academic record, including the cumulative G.P.A., through the Fall 2023 semester. The deadline for the submittal of the Scholarship Application form is December 31, 2023.
Whereupon applications are received earlier than the above-referenced deadline, and the academic transcript is not available at the time of the application, the transcript must be received by P.E.S. no later than January 8, 2024. Whereupon a transcript is requested and the Fall 2023 grades are not available for inclusion with the transcript, the grades and the cumulative G.P.A. shall be forwarded separately by the college or university to P.E.S. as soon as they become available, but no later than the January 8, 2024 date previously specified in this notice. Applications without the required transcripts or a complete academic record through the Fall 2023, will not be accepted or given further consideration after January 8, 2024. All applications, transcripts, or other grade-related and extra-curricular information shall be submitted to Robert A. Anderson, Jr., P.E., P.E.S.
